
A Western North Carolina County had one of the largest drug seizures in its history over the weekend. The Haywood County Sheriff's Office says, 30 year old Scottie Lee Parham of Asheville was arrested just before 11PM, Friday night.
Deputies were conducting an investigation on Parham and he was taken into custody after a chase. Deputies seized nearly 18 ounces of meth, over 10 ounces of fentanyl and a handgun.
Parham faces felony eluding, meth and fentanyl trafficking charges and a weapons violation. He's being held in the Haywood County Detention Center on a bond 2.5 million dollars.
