The Greenville County Coroner's Office and Greenville City Police are performing a death investigation after human remains were discovered in the area of Oscar St. in the Southernside Community.
On February 27,th the Greenville City Police notified the Coroner's Office that a human skull had been found. Tuesday the Coroner's Office along with several county agencies conducted a detailed search of approximately 7 acres of land when the rest of the remains were discovered.
The victim has been identified and the family has been contacted, but confirmation of identification is pending further testing. The coroner's office says the cause and manner of death are both pending and this is an ongoing investigation by the Greenville County Coroner's Office and the Greenville City Police.
