An investigation is underway after human remains were discovered in the Upstate, Monday morning.
The Pickens County Coroner's Office responded to the area of Massingill Memorial Drive in Pickens, this morning after remains were found there.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed, there's been no word on any suspected foul play, as of this time. The death remains under investigation by the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the Coroner's Office.
Officials say they are currently working to identify the deceased.
