Alex Murdaugh has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons for the last several months. The once prominent Lowcountry litigator has been marred in controversy and criminal charges. Just this week, his lawyers have filed a lawsuit against a leader at the jail he's being held in. Murdaugh's lawsuit named Shane Kitchens as the defendant. Kitchens is the Interime Director of the Glenn Detention Center in Richland County. Murdaugh is there being held on a 7 million dollar bond. The lawsuit centers around the release of recorded phone calls Murdaugh made while there.
