A suspect was hospitalized after a deputy involved shooting in the Upstate, Monday night. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Bridgeford Lane near Moore around 7:30 PM.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered a suspect armed with a large kitchen knife and a shooting occurred. The suspect was taken to Spartanburg Regional to be treated.
The deputy was uninjured in the incident. The deputy has been placed on administrative leave and SLED is investigating which is standard protocol.
