The newly appointed U.S. Senator from South Carolina has officially been sworn in. On Monday, Governor McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone to the U.S. Senate seat that was held by her late brother, Lindsey Graham.
On Tuesday, Darline was sworn in, with that she becomes the first female Senator from the Palmetto State. President Trump recommended her for the position. She will serve in the Senate until January to finish her brother's term.
A Special Primary is being held next month to determine who will replace Lindsey Graham in November's general election.
