The man in prison for killing three Greenville County teenagers in the 1970's was considered for early release, Wednesday morning. As we previously reported, Charles Williams was reviewed for early release for the 20th time during his time in prison.
Williams is currently serving three consecutive life sentences for the murders of 16 year old Kathy Smith, her friend 17 year old Cynthia Jones, and 19 years old Rhonda Adams. The bodies of all three victims were found dumped in the Reedy River.
Kathy Smith's mother had spoken at his early release hearings every time, until her death in 2020. Williams was denied early release on Wednesday. He's currently being held at Broad River Correctional in Columbia.
