An Anderson man pled guilty Wednesday to kidnapping and sexual assault charges.
Jamaal Harvey pled guilty Wednesday in the case of a 60-year-old woman who was kidnapped from an Ingles parking lot and sexually assaulted back in March of last year.
According to the Anderson County Solicitor's Office, Harvey used a rope to strange the victim until she fell unconcious, then drove off in the victim's car with her in the back seat.
When she regained conciousness, Harvey struck her head, tied her arms behind her back with the rope, and sexually assaulted her.
The victim later woke up back in the Ingles parking lot, and an investigation identified Harvey as the suspect using DNA evidence.
Harvey was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for the roughly yeah and a half he already spent in jail.
