Officials say the driver who died after a crash in the Upstate last week, may be connected to a missing persons case. 32 year old, Jeremy Basquette died after shooting himself in the head after a police chase in Clemson.
On Friday, Pickens County Sheriff Tommy Blankenship posted a social media video saying Basquette may be linked to the disappearance of 68 year old, Steven Whitmire.
Officials say Whitmire went missing from his home, Wednesday night. However, no further details have been released regarding the case.
