It was a messy situation in the mountains as a milk truck overturned on a busy Western North Carolina highway, Thursday morning. Officials say a tractor trailer hauling milk crashed on I-40 at the McDowell and Burke County line.
The crash caused a spill near Mile Marker 92 that shut the highway down for some time. Emergency Management crews responded to the scene, they say the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash. Around 8:30 AM Thursday, that stretch of interstate was reopened.
