An investigation is ongoing after a teenager was killed in a shooting in Western North Carolina, earlier this week. The Marion Police Department responded to a home on South McDowell Avenue, just after 2:30 PM Wednesday.
When officers arrived they found a 15 year old boy who had been shot. He was taken to Mission Hospital in Marion where he later died. The teenager has not been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced, as this time.
Investigators say multiple people were at the home at the time of the shooting. However, no other injuries were reported. The Marion Police Department is expected to release more information on the shooting as it becomes available.
