A suspect is injured after a deputy involved shooting over the weekend in Western North Carolina. The Haywood County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance on Old Clyde Road around 5:45PM, Sunday.
Upon arrival, the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, reportedly attacked the deputy, who then opened fire. The suspect was injured in the shooting and was taken to a local hospital to be treated. The Deputy was not injured in the incident.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation or NCSBI has been called in to investigate the shooting.
There's been no formal charges announced against the suspect, and no further details have been released as of the time of this report.
