A Myrtle Beach man is in federal custody after allegedly threatening a news reporter. The U.S. Attorney's General Office says 35 year old, Austin Suman sent a series of online messages threatening a New York based reporter.
Officials say in the messages that Suman threatened to kill the reporter and her family, as well blowing her house up. The threats came after the reporter had written about Suman's previous arrest for threatening his roommate with a gun.
Suman was arrested Friday morning in a residential neighborhood in Myrtle Beach. Suman is charged with communicating interstate threats, interstate stalking and making threats involving explosives.
