Celebrate the holiday season at the North Carolina Governor’s Western Residence Holiday Open House.
Built in 1939, the Western Residence in Asheville serves as a “home away from home” for current Governor Josh Stein when he’s traveling across the state. The Governor’s official mansion is located in Raleigh, NC.
The residence was donated to the state in 1964 and is known for its "breathtaking views of Mount Pisgah and downtown Asheville."
This weekend, visitors are invited to tour the home Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No reservations are required, and a free shuttle service will be available. Guests are also encouraged to bring canned food donations to benefit MANNA FoodBank.
Asheville's MANNA FoodBank is a private, non-profit, working to end food insecurity in Western North Carolina.
