A North Carolina man is in custody after a shooting at an Upstate gas station that left his ex-girlfriend wounded, last Friday. The Greer Police Department says, 24 year old Justin Makario Jackson of Sanford is charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic violence and a weapons violation.
Those charges stem from an incident in which Jackson reportedly held his former girlfriend at gun point and forced her to drive him from Greenville to Charlotte.
The two stopped for gas at the QuikTrip in Greer and the victim tried escaping the situation and Jackson shot and injured her. She was taken to an area hospital where she remains admitted.
Jackson then fled the state, he was located and arrested in Savannah , Georgia on Saturday. The Greer PD says they are working to have him extradited back here to the Upstate to face charges from the shooting.
