A North Carolina shooting suspect was arrested over the weekend with what police said was enough drugs to kill over 100,000 people. Police in Wadesboro a town about 50 miles east of Charlotte responded to the CVS parking lot, Saturday.
A woman had reported that she was being followed and shots were fired at her vehicle. The woman had two children and another adult in the car, but no injuries were reported. The vehicle was damaged in the shooting.
The suspect 28 year old, Bryant Dewitt Lemon Jr. fled the scene. He was later arrested at a house in Wadesboro. Officers say more than 8 ounces of fentanyl was seized from the house.
Lemon is charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, conspiracy, various drug offenses and multiple weapons violations.
Four others were charged in the case. Two of them were charged with conspiracy in the shooting and two others were arrested on drug charges.
