A New York man wanted for murder may be in the Carolinas.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mtayari Dixon allegedly shot a man following an argument in New Rochelle, NY in October of 2022. Officials believe he then boarded a train south and could possibly be in the Charlotte area now. FBI Columbia shared a social media post from FBI New York stating Dixon may also have ties to South Carolina.

Dixon was charged with murder in November of 2022, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
A reward is being offered by the FBI, up to $10,000 for information leading to Dixon’s location and arrest.
