A weekend crash killed one person and severely injured another. The two vehicle collision happened around 4:30 Saturday afternoon on Highway 8 near Looper Road in Anderson County.
Master Trooper David Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, the driver of a Chevy Malibu crossed the centerline and hit a Dodge SUV head on. The driver of the SUV suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the Malibu died at the scene of the collision. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
