The NCHP says one person died and another was injured when two motorcycles rear-ended a tractor trailer on I-26 in Henderson County, Thursday.
Troopers said the tractor-trailer had slowed for traffic around 3PM near Airport Road when one of the motorcyclists struck the rear of the trailer and died at the scene.
The other motorcyclist also struck the trailer and was airlifted to Mission Hospital. Their condition is not known. The collision and investigation closed down I-26 in both directions for some time yesterday.
