A chaotic scene on an Upstate highway Wednesday afternoon, resulted in one person being hospitalized. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says, Nissan Sedan was sitting at a red light on White Horse Road around 1:15 and a flat-bed tractor trailer pulled up behind it.
The rear of the trailer was still sitting on the railroad tracks and a train was coming. The flat-bed then pushed into the Nissan in an attempt to move it forward and pull itself up off the tracks.
The train then collided with the flatbed and caused it to spin around and hit a utility pole. The impact knocked powerlines down onto another vehicle, that person suffered the only reported injuries in the crash.
They were taken to an area hospital, the Highway Patrol says, the victim is expected to survive.
