One person was hospitalized and a suspect is in custody after a stabbing in Western North Carolina, early this morning. The Asheville Police Department responded to a stabbing at a home on Atkinson Street, just after 3AM.
Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from a knife wound. The victim was taken to Mission Hospital.
The suspect 59 year old, Harold Dudley Ervin was apprehended on the porch of a neighboring house. He's charged with assault with a deadly weapon and other crimes.
