DHEC today reported 2,934 new confirmed cases and 145 new probable cases of the coronavirus, as well as 226 additional confirmed deaths and 28 new probable deaths.
Among the deaths includes a Union County Sheriff's Office deputy, who was escorted by his fellow law enforcement officers from Spartanburg Regional back home following his deaths earlier in the day.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 387,603, probable cases to 43,566, confirmed deaths to 6,235, and probable deaths to 668.
Greenville County once again reported the highest number of new cases in the state with 481 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, followed by Spartanburg county with 284 and Richland County with 234 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
