A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car over the weekend. The Greenville Police Department says a man was hot while walking on I-85 near Woodruff Road, just before 11 PM Saturday night.

The man was later pronounced dead. The Police Department has not released the name of the deceased, but says the Coroner's Office is expected to release the identity of the pedestrian later on Monday.
