A plane crash on South Carolina's coast that left one person injured, is under investigation. The FAA and NTSB have been brought into investigate after a banner plane crashed into the water at Myrtle Beach, around 1130 AM Monday.
Officials say, the single engine plane hit the water and witnesses then helped the pilot out of the plane safely. The pilot was the only on board and was transported to a local hospital to be treated, but is expected to be okay.
A tow truck was called in and was able to remove the plane from the water around 4 PM yesterday. The wings of the plane were removed to safely load and pull it from the water.
A preliminary crash report from the FAA is expected to be released Tuesday.
