A plane crash earlier this month has now claimed a 2nd life. As we previously reported, a small plane crashed on Highway 101 in Spartanburg County, August 20th. The pilot of the plane identified, as 60 year old Dan Whitt of Lancaster died the day after the crash.
Now, the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office says, the passenger 70 year old Jerry Brandes of Central died at a local hospital Sunday night.
A forensic exam is scheduled for Tuesday. The crash remains under investigation by the FAA.
