An Upstate police officer was injured in a struggle with a robbery suspect, Thursday. The Mauldin Police Department responded to a reported car break-in at Farm Ridge around 6:45AM.
Officers spotted the suspect and a foot chase across West Butler Road ensued. A struggle then took place and an officer suffered minor injuries, the suspect then fled again on foot.
30 year old, Benjamin Kordell McFadden of Kingstree was then located at the QT on West Butler Road and was taken into custody.
He's charged with auto break-in, intent to distribute marijuana, and resisting arrest. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office assisted in apprehending McFadden.
