A fatal muti-vehicle crash has shut down a portion of I-26 in North Carolina....
The crash happened Wednesday morning, September 18, 2024, around 9:30am near mm55 on the eastbound side of I-26 in Henderson County.
Troopers said two tractor trailers and 4 vehicles were involved. One person was killed, another seriously injured.
North Carolina Highway Patrol says all drivers are being detoured on to U.S. 25 at Exit 54. Tractor trailer drivers are to continue on U.S. 25 towards Greenville. Passenger vehicles can use U.S. 176 through Saluda into South Carolina.

That portion of I-26EB is expected to be closed until midnight, September 18, 2024.
