The Reedy Reels film festival is returning next month to downtown Greenville with films from the local area and from both national and international filmmakers.
The 9th installment of the annual festival is taking place the South Carolina Children’s Theatre in downtown Greenville from March 22nd through the 24th, featuring 66 films, roughly half of which are from local filmmakers and students.
Bob Evans from the Reedy Reels Organization explained that that local area refers to Greenville and South Carolina as a whole, along with North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. He said that various films were also submitted from both national and international filmmakers as well.
Narrowed down from 136 submissions this year, the films are up for several awards that will be presented Sunday night after the showings have concluded.
