The convicted Reedy River Killer has again been denied early release from prison. On Wednesday, 74 year old Charles Williams was denied release by the State Parole Board.
Williams was convicted of killing three teenagers nearly 50 years ago. Two victims 16 year old, Cathy Smith and 17 year old Cynthia Jones were last seen at a Greenville High Football game in August of 1975.
A month later the bodies of the two girls and of 19 year old Rhonda Adams were found floating in the Reedy River. Williams is serving three life sentences for the murders but gets to go before the parole board regularly.
He has now been denied release more than 20 times.
