An Upstate man is facing child sex crime charges after a multi-agency investigation. The South Carolina Attorney General's Office says 41 year old, Thomas Renrick IV of Greenville is charged with 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The investigation started after an online tip report led officials to look into Renrick's activities. The State Attorney General's Office says Renrick shared files depicting child sexual abuse. State agents from North Carolina also assisted in the investigation.
Renrick faces a potential max sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted.
