SCAG responds to request to prosecute "Boutique Bandit"

The State Attorney General is being called on to prosecute a woman now known as the boutique bandit.

As we previously reported, Pamela Brooke Schronce the owner of an Anderson County Children's Boutique has been arrested 13 times since January 1st.


Customers from across the Upstate into the Midlands have reported making online purchases from the boutique and not receiving their merchandise or gettng their money back.

The 10th Circuit Solicitor's Office which covers Anderson and Oconee Counties has requested that the State AG's Office prosecute Schronce in their area. Attorney General Alan Wilson responded to the request Thursday and said his office is determining the best path forward.

Cases against Schronce in Greenville, Pickens, Spartanburg, Cherokee and Richland Counties will be prosecuted locally and Wilson's office will not be involved.
