A massive series of drug busts indictments announced in an operation spanning a large portion of the state.
Attorney General Alan Wilson held a press conference Monday morning announcing now 108 indictments in the ongoing “Devil in Disguise” operation totaling over 380 drug-related charges.
Additionally, he explained that, throughout the ongoing operation, almost 100 pounds of cocaine, 9 pounds of fentanyl, and 22 pounds of methamphetamine have been recovered through controlled purchases and seizures alongside over $1 million in cash and multiple firearms.
This comes after state legislature recently passed legislation that would allow fentanyl traffickers to be charged for deaths resulting from their drugs, which the Attorney General said is expected to play a part in this ongoing operation.
