The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources has announced a free family-oriented event in the Upstate for National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday.
The event is being hosted at South Cove County Park on Lake Keowee from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, September 30th, hosted in partnership between the park, the SCDNR, and several other organizations.
Kayaking on Lake Keowee with Unlimited Outfitters of Oconee County is one of the many activities available at National Hunting and Fishing DaySouth Carolina Department of Natural Resources
SCDNR wildlife biologist Tammy Waldrop said in a press release that “It is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come and enjoy the great outdoors in a safe, educational environment with family and friends while introducing the many activities the outdoor environment allows.”
Equipment is provided, and various food vendors will also be in attendance.
