The Upstate Deputy who was fired last month after making a social media post that was deemed racially insensitive has been identified. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office has named Josh Chrobak as the deputy who was terminated.
Chrobak worked 3rd shift and had been with the Sheriff's Office since 2020. His termination was announced during a press conference held by newly elected Sheriff Bill Rhyne, in late November.
The decision came after Chrobak made a post that violated the Sheriff's Office social media policy. Due to the nature of the post, we have declined to repeat or print it.
