Anderson County Sheriff Deputies, SWAT and negotiators responded to a home on Major Road near Belton around 5:30 PM, Wednesday.
A man had fired a shot in the direction of a group of people, before running back inside a house where he locked himself inside.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect later left the area and a search for the suspect then began.
Officials have said they are familiar with suspect, which they have no yet public identified. No one was injured in that shooting. The suspect remains at large, as of the time of this report.
