A Seneca man is in custody after a weekend shooting that left one person injured. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, 36 year old Zachary Aaron Hare Poole was taken into custody on attempted murder charges Monday night.
The Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Return Church Road in Seneca just before 10:30 Sunday night. Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was injured and was taken to a hospital to be treated.
Poole had already fled the area prior to Deputies arriving. Poole is also accused of shooting at a woman inside a vehicle that was on the scene.
Investigators say an argument between Poole and another man led to the shooting. Poole is charged with two counts of attempted murder and a weapons violation.
