Some public library leaders around the state are opposing a Statehouse proposal, to ban books with sexual content in children's sections. A budget clause by the State Senate would prevent children from being able to get those type of books from public libraries without parental permission. The library directors that oppose the proposal say it's overreach by the State. State Senator Josh Kimbrell is one of the staunch proponents of the proposal. It seems hard to fathom why library leaders would approve of children being able to access books with this type of provocative content?
