Six Suspects plead guilty to roles in Upstate drug trafficking ring

Half a dozen people have pleaded guilty to being involved in a drug trafficking ring. The six suspects are from around the Upstate and Western North Carolina.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 38 year old, Jonathan Sarratt of Gaffney ran the drug ring while incarcerated in prison. Court records say the group distributed 250 kilos of meth around the Upstate.


A co-conspirator Brenda Mincey of Shelby, North Carolina was arrested with nearly 14 ounces of meth and 100 fentanyl pills during the investigation.

Four others, Christopher Biggerstaff of Chester A'alyah Tukes of Anderson, Mikenzi and Sondra Walker both of Gaffney have all pleaded guilty. Biggerstaff is also charged with a weapons violation.

The 6 will be sentenced at a later date.
