A former Gaffney Police Officer was arrested by SLED Agents Wednesday on charges of Misconduct in Office and Substitution or Spiking to defeat a drug test.
Arrest warrants report that 31 year old Charlena Marie Camden as a Gaffney police officer illegally confiscated marijuana from a suspect, did not report the seizure and then kept the pot for herself and her boyfriend, Timothy Shane Hamrick.
Camden is also accused of helping Hamrick beat a drug test for the Gaffney Fire Department by substituting her own urine for his sample. Cherokee County Sheriff Steve Mueller requested the SLED investigation. The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
