A shooting overnight in Clinton left one person dead and their body was found in the roadway.
Clinton Police responded to a reports of shots fired on Florence Street just after 11PM, Tuesday night. Police found a victim with gunshot wounds in the road. The victim was taken to a hospital in Laurens where they died.
34 year old Vincent Marc Viner was arrested and charged with murder. Viner is being held in the Johnson Detention Center pending a bond hearing. SLED is assisting Clinton Police with the investigation.
