The winter storm storm Tuesday evening brought snow to the Upstate and other parts of the Palmetto State. Officials say Greenwood was the hardest hit area in the Upstate. Snow fell there for about 3 hours and covered the area.
Other parts of the state were even harder hit, with the Grand Strand and Pee Dee seeing a rare blanketing of snow. WPDE TV reports that Conway had about 7 inches, Myrtle Beach and its surrounding areas had 5 and Florence got 3 inches.
The TV station says for Myrtle Beach was a snowfall that ranked in the top 5 all time for the area.
