A group of brave volunteers from the Palmetto State have decided to go to Hawaii to help with the wildfire relief efforts. The Red Cross says that a group of six people from South Carolina are headed to Maui to help.

Among that group is Mauldin resident Terry Barcelona. The group will help the Red Cross provide shelter and comfort impacted by the wildfires, which have left more than 50 people dead, thus far.

Officials in Hawaii say that adverse weather conditions, specifically strong winds produced by Hurricane Dora are hindering evacuations and treatment of those impacted by the fires.
