Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright -- who's reportedly under state and federal conduct-in-office investigations -- is now being targeted by another fired employee's lawsuit.
The suit accuses Wright of wrongful termination and malicious prosecution in the case of former sheriff’s office sergeant Tracy Moss.
She claims Wright fired her because he had been informed she was supporting his re-election opponent during the 2024 primary. Her suit also accuses Wright of compiling a "hit list" of personnel he believed to be working against bis campaign.
A former Lieutenant filed a wrongful termination suite in February claiming he was fired for questioning the hiring of Wright’s son, who remains on leave of absence amid reports of treatment for prescription drug abuse, has not commented on either lawsuit.
