An Upstate is holding a popular festival for the 1st time since the start of the pandemic. The Spring Fling is back in downtown Spartanburg this weekend. It marks the return of the festival following a 3 year hiatus, it was last held in 2019.
The Spartanburg Police Department says they'll have a heavy presence at the festival to ensure public safety. May of the roads in downtown Spartanburg will be closed during this weekend's festival. Those include Main Street, Broad Street, Church Street, Converse Street, Dunbar and Liberty Street. The Spartanburg Police Department urges festival goers to celebrate responsibly.
