Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend! Don't forget to set your clocks forward an hour, Saturday into Sunday. In South Carolina, legislation has been introduced to make Daylight Savings Time permanent.
Last year, on February 7th a bill was introduced to put an end to daylight savings time. According to the State House website, the bill is currently residing in the House Judiciary Committee.
SC isn't the only state trying to do this, 18 others are as well, including NC, GA and TN. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures website, because federal law does not currently allow full-time Daylight Savings Time, Congress would have to act before states could adopt changes.
As of right now, that's all pending. So, set your clocks forward and just enjoy that extra hour of daylight.
