An Upstate School Resource Officer on administrative leave after an incident involving a student has now been fired.
As we previously reported, SLED was asked to investigate by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office following a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between the SRO and a student at Anderson District Five's Westside High School.
A spokesperson for the Anderson County Sheriff's office told local media that the deputy was terminated on Wednesday.
Strom Law Firm in Columbia confirmed with us in an email statement Wednesday that their attorneys will be representing the teenage victim.
The investigation continues and, so far, no charges have been filed.
