The South Carolina Attorney General's Office has announced over a dozen arrests have recently been made by the State's Human Trafficking Task Force. Attorney General Alan Wilson says a total of 13 people have been charged with crimes related to sex trafficking.
Other charges stemming from those arrests include drug distribution and weapons violations. Wilson said " As the Chair Of The Human Trafficking Task Force, I can not highlight enough the importance of law enforcement partnering to address the complexities of these crimes".
The arrests were made in the state's Pee Dee and Low Country regions and the operation is set to continue statewide.
