A teenager is facing charges after a gun was found on campus at an Upstate high school, Wednesday morning. The School Resource Office at Walhalla High School was tipped off that a student had brought a gun to school.
The officer investigated and found that a 16 year old boy had a gun on him. The teenager was then taken into custody by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office and will be transported to the Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia.
The Oconee County School District says the student will be expelled. The boy has not been identified, due to being underage.
