In the early morning hours of January 28th this year, Spartanburg Police responded to a report of a person in the roadway on Fairforest Road. There officers found the body of 27 year old Monique Whitehurst. who had been discovered by a passerby who contacted authorities.
Tuesday, officers arrested Tanya Michelle Miller for her involvement with that incident.
After an extensive investigation, Miller was charged with Obstructing Justice, Unauthorized Removal of a Dead Body, Giving False Information to Law enforcement, and Desecration/ Removal of Human Remains.
This incident is considered an ongoing death investigation and no one has been charged with the death of Whitehurst.
