The pilot and a passenger were injured after a twin engine plane crashed near Lancaster, early Thursday morning. The Beechcraft 95 Baron had taken off from an airport in Mississippi and was headed for the Albemarle-Stanly Airport in North Carolina.
A Lancaster County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said the pilot reported losing power before the plane crashed near a metal recycling center on East Brooklyn Avenue. The plane caught fire upon impact, but the two occupants survived the crash and were responsive when first responders arrived.
